About
Company founder: Randall Joyner
Total of 46 years in the aerospace quality industry
Professional Summary
Experience working with core organizations, suppliers, and partners while driving activities in PW’s strategic interest leveraging an extensive quality inspection, advanced metrology, and software programming background. Experience includes mentoring employees in metrology and programming. Experience coordinating large software projects interacting with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and core IT groups to create successful robust projects.
Layout inspection, the early years
Worked in a quality department responsible for development (new design) and incoming part over inspection. Measuring any and all part types including bench layout of airfoils. That early experience laid a solid foundation for inspecting aerospace hardware prior to any computerized inspection equipment. Witnessed the introduction of multiple new engine designs.
Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM)
Started running CMMs in 1980 and programming CMMs in 1984 on DEA machines.
Develop advanced CMM inspection processes in support of test engine programs.
Deployed PWAirfoil airfoil analysis software (programming methods, utilization, and results evaluation) to P&W core CMM programming areas and suppliers.
Develop Master Airfoil Layout Inspector (MALI) training course, trained internal and supplier airfoil inspectors.
Structured Light (GOM)
First system use started in 2004 generating developing standard processes and procedures for the proper use and implimentation. Deployed the technology to suppliers around the world and evaluated the supplier capability for proper use.
Twenty years experience in Python scripting for inspection processes. Developed automation software for automatic scanning and processing of part inspection.
Software applications
Ability to program multiple high level languages such as: Python, Fortran, C, Visual Basic, and Visual Studio.
Many applications develped over the years including an airfoil evaluation package that is still in use today.
